About Trail Cameras

A trail camera is triggered by movement and records wildlife day and night without you being there. The Zeiss Secacam range uses 4G with a built-in multi-roaming SIM to send each photo or clip to the Zeiss Secacam app, so you can check your garden, woodland or feeding station from your phone.

All Secacams use invisible black LED infrared for night shots, run on 8 AA batteries and have a trigger speed under half a second. The Secacam 1, 3 and 7 record to 32GB of built-in memory; the compact Secacam 5 uses a pre-installed SD card. Image transmission needs an app plan, bought separately from the camera.

Bass & Bligh is an authorised UK Zeiss dealer.

Frequently asked questions

Which Secacam should I choose?

The Secacam 1 is the entry model, the Secacam 3 sends images faster and has a swivel screen, the compact Secacam 5 suits small spaces and has a wide-angle version for nest boxes, and the Secacam 7 has the highest 5MP sensor resolution.

Do Secacam trail cameras need a subscription?

To receive photos on your phone, yes. The camera comes with a multi-roaming SIM and you choose a Secacam app plan separately.

What batteries should I use?

Secacams take 8 AA batteries. Lithium AAs last much longer than alkaline, especially in winter.
