About this camera
The Zeiss Secacam 3 is a 4G trail camera that sends photos and video to the Zeiss Secacam app through an integrated multi-roaming SIM. A newer chipset speeds up transmission. It takes 3MP photos (up to 24MP interpolated), records up to 30fps video and stores to 32GB of internal memory, with USB-C for copying files out.
A swivelling 1.9-inch display and TEST button make aiming easier, and an improved motion sensor lens helps pick up small or distant animals. The black IR flash covers about 25 metres at night. The app service plan is separate from the camera price. Choose it over the Secacam 1 for quicker transmission. This is the standard 60 degree version, not the wide-angle one.

Do I need a subscription for the Zeiss Secacam 3?
The camera sends photos and video through the Zeiss Secacam app, and the app service plan is separate from the price of the camera. Check the current plan options on the Zeiss site before you buy so you know the running cost.
Does the Secacam 3 need an SD card?
No. It stores to 32GB of internal memory, so there is no SD card slot to fill. You can copy files off over USB-C.
Is this the wide-angle Secacam 3?
No. This listing is the standard version with a 60 degree field of view. Zeiss also makes a wide-angle Secacam 3, which is a separate model.
Does the Secacam 3 work without mobile signal?
It sends images over 4G, so it needs mobile coverage at the camera position to transmit. Check signal on your phone at the spot before mounting it.
