About Camera Flashes & Triggers

A hotshoe flash lets you light indoor portraits, events and close-ups properly instead of pushing ISO. We stock Godox flashes, including the round-head V1 range for softer light and the compact iT30Pro, plus X-series wireless triggers for firing flashes off camera.

Flashes and triggers are made for a specific camera system because the TTL connection differs between brands. Each product title says which system it fits, so choose the version for your camera.

Not sure what fits your kit? Call us on 01423 538138, email sales@bassandbligh.com, or bring your camera into the shop in Harrogate, open Monday to Saturday, 9:30am to 5pm.

Frequently asked questions

What does TTL mean on a flash?

Through the lens metering: the camera measures a quick pre-flash and sets the flash power automatically. You can switch to manual when you want full control.

Why does a flash need to match my camera brand?

The hotshoe contacts and TTL communication are different for each brand, so a Godox flash for Nikon will not work properly on a Sony.

What is a round-head flash?

A flash with a round front, like the Godox V1, which spreads light more evenly and works with magnetic modifiers for a softer, more natural look.
