The details
At a glance: Sigma 30mm f/1.4 DC DN Contemporary - fast standard prime for Sony E APS-C, 45mm-equivalent.
About this lens
The Sigma 30mm f/1.4 DC DN Contemporary is a fast standard prime for APS-C mirrorless - in this case Sony E-mount. 30mm on APS-C is a 45mm full-frame equivalent - classic standard-prime focal length. Affordable, light, and widely praised for optical quality relative to price.

Works with
- Sony E-mount APS-C mirrorless (A6x00 series, ZV-E10, NEX series)

- Also available in Fujifilm X, Leica L-mount, Canon EF-M, Nikon Z DX variants
Best for
A natural first prime for Sony APS-C mirrorless users - 45mm equivalent standard prime at f/1.4 is a fundamental photographer's lens. Sigma's Contemporary line offers strong optical quality at a modest price. DC DN means designed for APS-C mirrorless - won't cover Sony FE full-frame.
Frequently asked questions
Will it work on a Sony full-frame A7?
Only in APS-C crop mode - DC DN is Sigma's APS-C mirrorless designation. On full-frame you'd get heavy vignetting or the body would auto-crop.
Does this lens have image stabilisation?
No — this lens does not have image stabilisation.
Why buy from Bass & Bligh
Bought from a real shop, not a warehouse.
Dispatched on the Monday… great service
Ordered a Panasonic four thirds lens dispatched on the Monday after purchase and delivered on the following Tuesday great service. Tried on the camera and initial thoughts are wow pin sharp and clear photos. Thank you
George P.Ordered a lens onlineA proper little treasure trove
3rd time I've been to this shop to treat myself to some new kit. Always very friendly and knowledgeable. Fairly priced too. I would highly recommend a visit if your nearby and looking for camera gear. I'd say if they don't have what your looking for, it's probably not possible to find anywhere. It's a proper little treasure trove.
Philip B.Third visit to the shopBrilliant advice with awesome customer service
