About this accessory
Urth's Standard UV filter in 52mm is a thread-in clear filter built from Japanese AGC optical glass. A multi-layer nano-coating (8 layers per Urth) helps transmission and cuts glare, and the ultra-slim aluminium frame is designed to limit vignetting.
Choose it when you want simple everyday protection from dust, fingerprints and scratches without paying for a higher tier. Being a clear filter, it needs no exposure compensation. Plus+ steps up to SCHOTT B270 glass with a 30-layer coating, and Pro to tempered AERO-C10 glass.

Is this the right filter for a 52mm lens thread?
It suits lenses with a 52mm filter thread, regardless of brand. Check the ø figure marked on the front of your lens or on its cap. A lens marked ø52 takes this filter directly, and the lens manual lists the thread size too.
Do I need a UV filter on a digital camera?
Not for image quality, as digital sensors are far less sensitive to UV than film. Most people fit a clear UV filter as a cheap, replaceable guard against scratches, dust and fingerprints on the front element.
Does the Urth UV Filter change my exposure?
No. A clear UV filter does not reduce the light meaningfully, so you do not need exposure compensation.
Can one 52mm filter be shared between lenses?
Yes. Step-up rings let a 52mm filter fit lenses with smaller threads, so one filter can cover several lenses. Watch for vignetting with wide-angle lenses when a ring is fitted.
