About this lens
The Canon EF 16-35mm f/2.8L II USM is Canon's second-generation professional ultra-wide zoom, released in 2007. An optical overhaul of the original, it offered improved corner sharpness and reduced distortion - the workhorse wide zoom for a decade of Canon pro shooters.

The classic event, wedding, and landscape wide zoom. Superseded by the Mark III in 2016 (improved corner sharpness) but still widely used for its compactness relative to newer versions. On APS-C bodies it becomes a ~25-56mm equivalent - usable as a standard zoom but better suited to full-frame. Works on RF mirrorless via adapter.

Yes, via the Canon EF-EOS R adapter. Autofocus and IS are preserved, and the lens functions normally on R, R5, R6, R7, R8, R50 and other RF bodies.
