Can I use this as a standalone scope?
No - it's the objective module only. You need a matching Swarovski ATX (angled) or STX (straight) eyepiece module to form a complete scope. The eyepiece modules also contain the focus mechanism and zoom.
Why modular?
You can upgrade between objective sizes (65mm for travel, 85mm for balance, 95mm for max brightness) while keeping the same eyepiece module. Useful if you want to own multiple objectives for different use cases.
