About this camera
The Sanyo Xacti VPC-E6 is a 6-megapixel compact digital camera from Sanyo - an older-generation pocket camera with small 1/2.5" sensor and basic feature set. A simple point-and-shoot from the mid-2000s era. Sanyo exited the consumer camera market in 2011.

Best for
An older-generation basic compact - Sanyo is no longer in the camera business (absorbed into Panasonic), making these essentially legacy cameras. Functional for casual use but optically and feature-wise far behind modern alternatives.

Is Sanyo still making cameras?
No - Sanyo's imaging division was merged into Panasonic in 2011, and the Sanyo consumer camera line is no longer in production. Used Sanyo cameras remain serviceable but accessories and repairs are limited.
