Best for

One of the first ultra-wide zooms designed for MFT - 14-28mm full-frame equivalent is dramatic wide-angle territory. The bulbous front element means no screw-in filters, which is normal for ultra-wides in this range. Compact and light for an ultra-wide zoom - a fraction of the weight of equivalent full-frame options.

Frequently asked questions

Can I use front filters with this lens?

No - the bulbous front element means no screw-in filters. Specialist 100mm/150mm filter holders with ultra-wide adapter rings are the workaround.

How does it compare to the Panasonic 8-18mm f/2.8-4?

The 8-18 is newer, accepts front filters (77mm thread), has a brighter wide end (f/2.8), and is weather-sealed. The 7-14 is wider (7mm vs 8mm), has constant f/4, and is usually more affordable used - but less versatile overall.

Does this lens have image stabilisation?

No — this lens does not have image stabilisation.

  • A proper little treasure trove

3rd time I've been to this shop to treat myself to some new kit. Always very friendly and knowledgeable. Fairly priced too. I would highly recommend a visit if your nearby and looking for camera gear. I'd say if they don't have what your looking for, it's probably not possible to find anywhere. It's a proper little treasure trove.
