Best for
A simpler Nikon Fieldscope 60 kit - just a 20x fixed eyepiece. Fixed eyepieces typically deliver brighter, sharper images than zoom eyepieces at equivalent magnification. 20x is a widely-used magnification for general birdwatching (enough detail without excessive hand-shake sensitivity even off a wobbly tripod).

Is 20x enough for birdwatching?
For most general birding, yes - 20x gives you solid detail for identification without excessive hand-shake or loss of field of view. For identifying distant shorebirds or ducks at range, 40x-60x magnification helps.
