About this accessory
The Hasselblad NC-2 Prism is Hasselblad's 45° eye-level prism viewfinder for V-system cameras - converts the default waist-level viewfinder (looking down) to an eye-level viewfinder (looking forward). Non-metering version; paired with meter accessories for exposure.

- Swaps onto the top of the V-system body in place of the default waist-level finder
Best for
A Hasselblad V-system viewfinder - the 500-series cameras default to a waist-level viewfinder (you look down into the camera with the image reversed left-right). The NC-2 prism is an accessory that swaps in to give a normal eye-level view. Non-metered; for metering use the PME-series metered prism.
Frequently asked questions
Why use an eye-level prism instead of waist-level?
Waist-level viewfinders are great for tripod/studio work but awkward for hand-held shooting. The eye-level prism corrects the left-right image reversal of a waist-level viewfinder and lets you compose at eye level like a modern SLR. Personal preference - many Hasselblad users prefer waist-level for its deliberate shooting experience.
