About this accessory
The Urth 82mm Magnetic UV Filter Plus+ is a threaded UV filter that also serves as the magnetic base for other Urth magnetic filters. It uses German SCHOTT B270 glass with a CoraNano 30-layer coating on both sides, with stated 99.00% transmission, 0.38% reflectance and an L41 UV cut-off.
It does two jobs: a clear front guard for the lens, and a magnetic mount for quick filter swaps. Do not pair it with Urth's Magnetic Adapter Ring, as the magnets will repel. If you want no magnetic system, the standard Plus+ UV filter is the simpler pick.

Is this the right filter for a 82mm lens thread?
It fits any lens with a 82mm filter thread, whatever the make or mount. The thread size is printed on the lens, usually as ø82 on the front rim or on the inside of the lens cap. The number is the filter thread, not the focal length.
Can I use the Magnetic UV Filter with the Magnetic Adapter Ring?
No. Urth states that the magnets will repel if you combine the two. Use either this threaded Magnetic UV filter or the adapter ring as your base, not both.
What is the difference between this and the standard Plus+ UV filter?
The glass and coating are the same, but this version has a magnetic face so other Urth magnetic filters can clip on. The standard Plus+ UV filter has no magnetic mount.
Does it need exposure compensation?
No. Urth states 99.00% light transmission, so it behaves as a clear filter.
