About this accessory
The Urth 49mm UV Filter Plus+ is a clear thread-in filter using German SCHOTT B270 glass with a CoraNano 30-layer nano-coating on both sides. Urth states light transmission of 99.00% and reflectance of 0.38%, with an L41 UV cut-off, in a 6061 aluminium frame.
With transmission around 99%, you do not need exposure compensation, and the slim, warp-resistant rim helps avoid dark corners on wider lenses. Over the Standard tier you get SCHOTT glass and a 30-layer coating, while the Pro tier adds tempered AERO-C10 glass.

How do I know if a 49mm filter fits my lens?
It fits lenses with a 49mm front filter thread. The thread size is printed on the lens, usually as ø49 on the front rim or on the inside of the lens cap. The number is the filter thread, not the focal length.
Does the Plus+ UV filter need exposure compensation?
No compensation is needed. With a stated 99.00% transmission, very little light is lost.
Is Plus+ worth it over the Standard UV filter?
Standard uses Japanese AGC glass with a multi-layer coating. Plus+ uses German SCHOTT B270 glass with a 30-layer dual-side coating, and Pro uses tempered AERO-C10 glass with a 34-layer coating.
Can one 49mm filter be shared between lenses?
Yes. Step-up rings let a 49mm filter fit lenses with smaller threads, so one filter can cover several lenses. Watch for vignetting with wide-angle lenses when a ring is fitted.
