At a glance: The SmallRig 3820B kit pairs two 2040mAh batteries for the Nikon EN-EL15 with a dual-slot LCD charger that charges over USB.
About this accessory
The SmallRig 3820B is a battery and charger kit for cameras that use the Nikon EN-EL15. It includes two 2040mAh batteries and a dual-slot charger with an LCD that shows current, voltage, charging progress and capacity. The charger has a built-in USB-A cable and a USB-C input.
SmallRig says the cells are fully decoded, so the camera should not show error pop-ups. The dual slot charges one or two batteries at once, and the USB connections mean you can charge from a wall adapter or a power bank. It is a third-party battery set, made by SmallRig rather than Nikon.

Best for
Nikon shooters who want a spare battery and a charger that works from a USB power bank, for travel, long days or video work away from mains power. Handy for trips with no mains socket nearby.
Frequently asked questions
What does 'fully decoded' mean?
It means the battery communicates with the camera in the way an original does, so the camera accepts it and can show the charge level without an error message.
Can I charge it from a power bank?
Yes, the charger takes a USB-C input, so a power bank or USB wall adapter will work.
Is this a Nikon battery?
No. It is a SmallRig replacement for the Nikon EN-EL15.
Can I charge one battery at a time?
Yes. The dual-slot charger can charge one or two batteries.
Why buy from Bass & Bligh
Bought from a real shop, not a warehouse.

George P.Ordered a lens onlineA proper little treasure trove
3rd time I've been to this shop to treat myself to some new kit. Always very friendly and knowledgeable. Fairly priced too. I would highly recommend a visit if your nearby and looking for camera gear. I'd say if they don't have what your looking for, it's probably not possible to find anywhere. It's a proper little treasure trove.
Philip B.Third visit to the shopBrilliant advice with awesome customer service
