At a glance: The Peak Design Leash in Eclipse is a slim, pocketable camera strap that adjusts from 83 to 145 cm and works as a sling, neck or wrist strap.

About this accessory

The Peak Design Leash in Eclipse is a 19 mm wide strap made from seatbelt-style nylon webbing with UHMWPE edge fibres. It adjusts from 83 cm to 145 cm, weighs 86 g and clips to your camera with quick-connect Anchors, each rated to 90 kg. Four Anchors come in the box.

The Leash is the slimmer, lighter strap in Peak Design's range. It folds down small enough to live in a coat pocket and can switch between sling, neck and wrist carry. If you shoot with a heavy body and a big lens, the wider, padded Slide is the more comfortable choice.

Frequently asked questions

Can the Peak Design Leash be used as a wrist strap?

Yes. It works as a sling, neck or wrist strap and adjusts from 83 cm to 145 cm, so you can shorten it to loop round your wrist.

What is the difference between the Leash and the Slide?

The Leash is 19 mm wide and weighs 86 g, while the Slide is 45 mm wide with a padded shoulder section and weighs 148 g. The Leash is for light kit, the Slide for heavier bodies and lenses.

Will the Leash fit my camera?

It attaches through Anchors that loop onto the strap lugs or eyelets on your camera. Our Harrogate shop can check fit with your camera if you are unsure.

Does the Leash come with Anchors?

Yes. The box includes four Anchors, an Anchor Mount, a 4mm hex wrench and a microfibre pouch.

  • A proper little treasure trove

3rd time I've been to this shop to treat myself to some new kit. Always very friendly and knowledgeable. Fairly priced too. I would highly recommend a visit if your nearby and looking for camera gear. I'd say if they don't have what your looking for, it's probably not possible to find anywhere. It's a proper little treasure trove.
