At a glance: The Peak Design Form Leather in Tan is a 118.5 cm fixed-length full-grain leather strap for cross-body wear, with four quick-connect Anchors included.

About this accessory

The Peak Design Form Leather Camera Strap in Standard length and Tan is a fixed-length cross-body strap cut from Ecco full-grain bovine leather, rated gold by the Leather Working Group. It is 118.5 cm long with Anchors, weighs 57 g, and is 1.65 cm wide at the ends and 3 cm wide in the middle. The leather is 2.5 mm thick, with no visible stitching.

The strap is rated to 45 kg and the Anchors to 90 kg. It uses Peak Design's quick-connect Anchors, with CNC aluminium hardware, and the leather develops a patina with use. It suits smaller mirrorless and DSLR kits better than heavy bodies. Choose it for a classic look on a film or mirrorless camera.

Frequently asked questions

Is the Form Leather strap adjustable?

No. It is a fixed-length strap; the Standard size is 118.5 cm with Anchors. Peak Design makes other lengths, so ask our Harrogate shop if you need a different size.

Will the leather change over time?

Yes. Full-grain leather softens and develops a patina with use.

Is it suitable for a heavy camera?

The strap is rated to 45 kg, but Peak Design suggests it works best with smaller mirrorless and DSLR kits. For heavy bodies with big lenses, a padded strap such as the Slide is more comfortable.

What comes in the box?

The Form Leather comes with four Anchors, a microfibre pouch and two oval split rings.

  • A proper little treasure trove

3rd time I've been to this shop to treat myself to some new kit. Always very friendly and knowledgeable. Fairly priced too. I would highly recommend a visit if your nearby and looking for camera gear. I'd say if they don't have what your looking for, it's probably not possible to find anywhere. It's a proper little treasure trove.
