At a glance: The Hahnel HL-XW50 twin pack gives you two 1000mAh replacement batteries for cameras that use the Sony NP-FW50, with an info system for remaining charge.
About this accessory
The Hahnel HL-XW50 is a replacement for the Sony NP-FW50 camera battery, sold as a twin pack. Each lithium-ion cell is rated 7.2V, 1000mAh and 7.2Wh, and Hahnel fits a protection circuit and a battery cover. Hahnel part number is 1000 160.4.
The batteries support Sony's remaining-charge display on compatible cameras, so you still see an accurate level in the viewfinder or screen. A twin pack is a practical way to carry a spare, as the NP-FW50 is a small battery that does not last long on a day of shooting. It is a third-party battery, made by Hahnel rather than Sony.

Best for
Sony owners who run out of battery before the end of the day, particularly those using smaller mirrorless bodies. A good pair to keep one in the camera and one charged in the bag.
Frequently asked questions
Will it show the battery level on my Sony camera?
Hahnel says the battery has an info system that reports remaining charge on compatible cameras. Whether yours supports it depends on the model.
Is the capacity 1000mAh or 950mAh?
Hahnel lists 1000mAh. Some retailers quote 950mAh, but we have used the manufacturer figure.
Is it a Sony battery?
No. It is a Hahnel replacement for the Sony NP-FW50 battery.
Can I charge it in the Sony charger?
Check that your charger supports the NP-FW50 battery type. Our Harrogate shop can confirm.
Why buy from Bass & Bligh
Bought from a real shop, not a warehouse.

George P.Ordered a lens onlineA proper little treasure trove
3rd time I've been to this shop to treat myself to some new kit. Always very friendly and knowledgeable. Fairly priced too. I would highly recommend a visit if your nearby and looking for camera gear. I'd say if they don't have what your looking for, it's probably not possible to find anywhere. It's a proper little treasure trove.
Philip B.Third visit to the shopBrilliant advice with awesome customer service
