About Lens Filter Kits

A filter kit gives you the main filters most photographers use, in one size and for less than buying them separately. Urth kits combine a UV filter with a circular polariser and ND filters such as ND8 and ND1000.

Magnetic kits use an adapter ring that stays on the lens, so each filter clicks on and off in a second instead of being screwed in. They are quicker in the field and easier with cold hands.

Frequently asked questions

Is a filter kit better value than single filters?

Usually, yes. A kit costs less than the same filters bought one at a time, and the filters share a case.

How do magnetic filters work?

You screw a thin magnetic adapter ring onto the lens and leave it there. Filters then attach magnetically and can be stacked or swapped without unscrewing anything.

Do filter kits make a good gift?

They do, as long as you know the size of the lens they are for. Check the ø number on the lens or ask us and we can help.
