Why use an eye-level prism on a Rolleiflex?
Waist-level viewfinders are great for deliberate tripod work but awkward for hand-held dynamic shooting (the image is also reversed left-right, which takes practice). The eye-level prism makes the Rolleiflex more like a 35mm SLR - eye-level composition with correct-orientation image.
