Best for
A premium pocket binocular - 10x25 is the 'jacket pocket' configuration, delivering serious magnification in a truly compact form. Leica's optical quality is significantly above mass-market compact binoculars of similar size. Trade-off vs full-size binoculars: narrower FOV, less light-gathering in dim conditions, and less comfortable for extended use. Ideal as a carry-everywhere companion.
Frequently asked questions
Is a 25mm objective enough?
For daylight use, yes - 25mm gathers enough light for bright, usable images in sun and normal overcast. In low light (dawn/dusk/deep woodland) the image dims noticeably compared to 42mm or 50mm objectives. Best as a backup or travel binocular, not your primary birding kit.
What does 'BR' mean?
BR = Black Rubber-armoured, Leica's traditional designation for waterproof rubber-armoured Ultravid variants. Sometimes paired with BL (Leather) for the dressier leather-armoured versions.
