Includes the dedicated Leica 24mm bright-line external viewfinder for precise framing (the camera's rangefinder viewfinder isn't wide enough at 24mm).

A Leica 24mm Elmar-M - the widest Elmar prime in the M lineup. Rangefinder cameras typically can't frame wider than 28mm in the built-in viewfinder, so an external bright-line finder (showing 24mm framing directly on the hot shoe) is essential. Together they make a complete wide-angle Leica M kit for landscape, architecture and environmental work.
Frequently asked questions
Why does it come with an external viewfinder?
Leica M rangefinders show framelines for 28mm to 135mm in the built-in viewfinder. For wider lenses like the 24mm, you mount an external bright-line finder on the hot shoe that shows you the 24mm frame. The main viewfinder stays for focusing (rangefinder patch); the external finder is for framing.
