About Gifts for Film Photographers

For anyone shooting film, or curious to start. We stock 35mm and 120 film from Kodak, Ilford, Harman and others, reusable film cameras such as the Kodak EC35, half-frame cameras that get twice as many shots per roll, and pinhole and darkroom kits.

Half-frame cameras such as the Kodak Ektar H35 take 72 photos on a 36-exposure roll, which makes each roll go further.

Not sure what fits your kit? Call us on 01423 538138, email sales@bassandbligh.com, or bring your camera into the shop in Harrogate, open Monday to Saturday, 9:30am to 5pm.

Frequently asked questions

What film should I buy for a beginner?

Kodak Gold 200 for bright days and Kodak UltraMax 400 for all-round use are forgiving colour films. Ilford XP2 is black and white film that any colour lab can develop.

What is a half-frame camera?

A camera that takes two pictures in the space of one standard 35mm frame, so a 36-exposure roll gives you 72 photos.
