About Christmas Gift Guide
Buying for someone who loves photography, film cameras, birdwatching or walking can be tricky when you do not know their kit. This guide groups our favourite gifts by budget and by the person you are buying for, with ideas that suit almost any camera or none at all.
Safe choices if you are unsure: memory cards, camera straps, cleaning kits and 35mm film fit almost everyone. For filters and batteries, check the size or code on their current kit, or ask us. We are happy to help in the shop in Harrogate or over the phone.
Not sure what fits your kit? Call us on 01423 538138, email sales@bassandbligh.com, or bring your camera into the shop in Harrogate, open Monday to Saturday, 9:30am to 5pm.
Frequently asked questions
What is a good gift for a photographer who has everything?
Consumables never go to waste: a fast memory card, a spare battery for their camera, a filter kit in their lens size, or a quality strap such as the Peak Design Cuff or Leash.
What can I buy if I do not know what camera they have?
Choose something that is not camera-specific, such as a camera bag, a strap, a cleaning kit, a reusable film camera with a few rolls of film, or binoculars for walks.
Can I return a gift after Christmas?
Please check our returns policy for current terms, or ask us when you buy. We can also advise on fit before you buy so it is right first time.
