The details
At a glance: Hasselblad X-H Converter 0.8x - focal reducer for using H-system lenses on X-system bodies.
About this adapter
The Hasselblad X-H Converter 0.8x is Hasselblad's focal-length reducer adapter - lets you use Hasselblad H-system medium-format lenses on the smaller X-system (X1D, X2D, 907X) bodies, reducing focal length by 0.8x and effectively speeding up apertures by ~2/3 stop.
Build & handling
| Type | Focal reducer lens adapter |
|---|---|
| Input mount | Hasselblad H-system (HC / HCD lenses) |
| Output mount | Hasselblad X-system (XCD) |
| Magnification factor | 0.8x (focal length reduction) |
| Aperture change | Effectively brighter by ~2/3 stop |
| Autofocus | Yes - preserved |
Works with
- Input: Hasselblad H-system HC / HCD lenses
- Output: Hasselblad X-system bodies (X1D, X1D II, X2D 100C, 907X)
- Not compatible with V-system lenses or other mounts
Best for
A specialist Hasselblad focal-reducer adapter - the H-system (large medium-format: 6x4.5) had a extensive lens library built up over many years; the X-system (smaller medium-format) has a more limited native lens range. The X-H Converter 0.8x lets X-system users access H lenses while compensating for the smaller sensor - giving equivalent-to-native effective focal lengths.
Frequently asked questions
Why would I want this?
If you have an H-system lens collection but want to use the smaller X-system bodies, this adapter preserves autofocus and effectively gives you the same focal length as native XCD. Useful during a transition between systems or if you need an H-specific lens that doesn't have an XCD equivalent.
Why buy from Bass & Bligh
Bought from a real shop, not a warehouse.

George P.Ordered a lens onlineA proper little treasure trove
3rd time I've been to this shop to treat myself to some new kit. Always very friendly and knowledgeable. Fairly priced too. I would highly recommend a visit if your nearby and looking for camera gear. I'd say if they don't have what your looking for, it's probably not possible to find anywhere. It's a proper little treasure trove.
