About this lens
The Sigma 50-150mm f/2.8 EX APO DC HSM is a constant-aperture pro-grade telephoto zoom designed for APS-C DSLRs. Covers the APS-C equivalent of a 75-225mm full-frame range - essentially Sigma's answer to Canon's 70-200 f/2.8, sized for crop sensors. HSM silent autofocus, APO (low-dispersion) glass.

Best for
A pro-grade constant-f/2.8 telephoto zoom built specifically for APS-C DSLRs - smaller and lighter than full-frame 70-200 f/2.8 equivalents, covering a similar field of view after the crop factor. Well-suited to portraits, indoor sports and events on Canon crop bodies. No IS on the non-OS version.
Frequently asked questions
Will it work on a Canon full-frame DSLR like the 5D?
Not fully. Sigma DC lenses are designed for APS-C coverage - on a full-frame body you'll get heavy vignetting.
Does this lens have image stabilisation?
No on the standard EX DC HSM version. Sigma did release an OS (stabilised) version of this lens later - verify which one before purchase.
Will it work on Canon RF mirrorless bodies?
No. Canon EF-S lenses do not mount on RF mirrorless bodies. Consider an RF-S lens (for APS-C RF bodies) or a full-frame EF lens with the EF-EOS R adapter instead.
