About this camera
The Praktica BX20 is a late 1980s/early 1990s East German 35mm SLR - K-mount compatible, manual focus, electronic shutter. Bundled with a 50mm f/1.8 standard prime. Praktica was a well-known East German camera brand whose later models adopted the Pentax K-mount.

Is Praktica still in business?
The original East German Praktica (Pentacon) was dissolved after German reunification. The Praktica brand name was later applied to various imported consumer products under licence, but the classic German SLR production ended in the early 1990s.
