About this camera
The Pentax K-5 with 18-55mm kit lens is Pentax's 2010 enthusiast APS-C DSLR paired with the DA 18-55mm WR kit zoom. The K-5 was widely acclaimed on release for its 16MP Sony sensor, compact weather-sealed body, 7 fps continuous shooting and genuine competition with Canon/Nikon enthusiast bodies.

Best for
The K-5 was a landmark Pentax DSLR - genuinely enthusiast-grade weather-sealed build, strong low-light performance with the 16MP Sony sensor, and 7fps continuous shooting at an enthusiast price. The kit lens (18-55 WR) is the weather-resistant version of Pentax's standard APS-C kit zoom. Ready-to-shoot bundle.
Frequently asked questions
Is the K-5 still a capable camera today?
Yes for stills - the 16MP Sony sensor was industry-leading at launch and still produces excellent results. Weather sealing, build, and in-body Shake Reduction make it dependable. The 1080p 25/24fps video is dated compared to modern cameras, but the stills capability is still strong.
What's included in the kit?
The K-5 body with the Pentax SMC DA 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 AL WR kit zoom lens. This provides everyday 27-82.5mm-equivalent zoom range with weather-resistant sealing matching the body.
Why buy from Bass & Bligh
Bought from a real shop, not a warehouse.

George P.Ordered a lens onlineA proper little treasure trove
3rd time I've been to this shop to treat myself to some new kit. Always very friendly and knowledgeable. Fairly priced too. I would highly recommend a visit if your nearby and looking for camera gear. I'd say if they don't have what your looking for, it's probably not possible to find anywhere. It's a proper little treasure trove.
