The Nikkormat FT2 is a 1970s manual-focus 35mm SLR from Nikon - a consumer-grade version of the pro Nikon F line, sharing the same F-mount. Bundled with a Nikkor 50mm f/2 standard prime. Fully mechanical, metered with a built-in CdS meter.

A heritage 1970s Nikon film SLR - the Nikkormat line was Nikon's consumer-accessible alternative to the pro F cameras. Fully mechanical except for the light meter. Uses older Pre-AI Nikon F-mount lenses; modern AI/AI-S lenses may need adapters or modifications to mount safely.
Frequently asked questions
Can I use modern Nikon lenses on this?
With care. The FT2 uses the 'rabbit ears' aperture coupling system of Pre-AI lenses. Modern AI/AI-S lenses don't have rabbit ears, and G-type lenses (no aperture ring) won't work properly. For best safety, use Pre-AI or AI-converted Nikkor lenses.
