- A built-in autofocus motor also drives older screw-drive AF and AF-D lenses, so they keep autofocus on this body (unlike Nikon's entry-level DX cameras)
- DX lenses cover the sensor fully; FX (full-frame) F-mount lenses fit and work but are cropped by the 1.5x DX factor
- F-mount lenses can later be adapted to Nikon Z mirrorless bodies via the FTZ/FTZ II adapter (screw-drive AF and AF-D lenses become manual focus on the adapter)

Does it have a low-pass (anti-aliasing) filter?
