The details
At a glance: 18-300mm VR DX superzoom (27-450mm equivalent) - Nikon's longest-range DX zoom in one lens.
About this lens
The Nikon AF-S DX 18-300mm f/3.5-6.3G ED VR is the lighter, more compact revision of Nikon's DX 16.7x superzoom. A single-lens solution for travel where carrying multiple lenses is impractical, with VR stabilisation across the full range.

Works with
- Nikon F-mount DX (APS-C) DSLRs - all bodies including entry-level
- Not designed for Nikon full-frame (FX) DSLRs
Best for
The biggest zoom range in Nikon's DX lineup - useful for travel and everyday where you want landscape-to-telephoto in a single lens. The f/6.3 long end is a real trade-off (some bodies lose AF in low light), but the range is hard to beat.
Frequently asked questions
Will it autofocus on entry-level Nikon DSLRs (D3xxx / D5xxx)?
Yes. The built-in AF-S silent-wave motor handles autofocus in-lens, so this works on every Nikon F-mount DSLR including entry-level bodies.
Does this lens have image stabilisation?
Yes - VR, up to 4 stops.
Why buy from Bass & Bligh
Bought from a real shop, not a warehouse.
Dispatched on the Monday… great service
Ordered a Panasonic four thirds lens dispatched on the Monday after purchase and delivered on the following Tuesday great service. Tried on the camera and initial thoughts are wow pin sharp and clear photos. Thank you
George P.Ordered a lens onlineA proper little treasure trove
3rd time I've been to this shop to treat myself to some new kit. Always very friendly and knowledgeable. Fairly priced too. I would highly recommend a visit if your nearby and looking for camera gear. I'd say if they don't have what your looking for, it's probably not possible to find anywhere. It's a proper little treasure trove.
Philip B.Third visit to the shopBrilliant advice with awesome customer service
