About this lens
The Nikon AF-P 70-300mm f/4.5-5.6E ED VR is a compact, modern consumer telephoto zoom released in 2017. The AF-P designation indicates a stepping-motor autofocus system - quieter and smoother than older AF-S lenses, particularly suited to video recording.

Best for
The modern replacement for the older AF-S 70-300mm - lighter, quieter, and with improved VR. Well-suited to wildlife, sports, and outdoor photography. The AF-P autofocus requires a relatively recent Nikon body for full compatibility (D7500, D5600, D850 and later); older bodies may have limited functionality.
Frequently asked questions
Will it work fully on an older Nikon like the D7000?
Not fully. AF-P lenses require firmware support found in D5600/D7500/D850 and later bodies. Older Nikons may mount and expose the lens, but autofocus, VR or aperture control may be limited or unavailable.
Does this lens have image stabilisation?
Yes — VR, up to 4.5 stops.
Will it autofocus on entry-level Nikon DSLRs (D3xxx / D5xxx)?
On recent bodies, yes — AF-P requires D5600, D7500, D850 or later for full support. Older Nikon DSLRs may mount the lens but have limited or no AF-P functionality.
Why buy from Bass & Bligh
Bought from a real shop, not a warehouse.

George P.Ordered a lens onlineA proper little treasure trove
3rd time I've been to this shop to treat myself to some new kit. Always very friendly and knowledgeable. Fairly priced too. I would highly recommend a visit if your nearby and looking for camera gear. I'd say if they don't have what your looking for, it's probably not possible to find anywhere. It's a proper little treasure trove.
