About this lens
The Nikon AF-S 24-70mm f/2.8E ED VR is the second-generation professional standard zoom, released in 2015. It is the first Nikon F-mount 24-70 f/2.8 to include vibration reduction (up to 4 stops), along with an electromagnetic aperture diaphragm and revised optical design for improved edge sharpness.

The workhorse professional standard zoom — covers wide-angle through short telephoto at a constant f/2.8 aperture, making it equally usable for events, reportage, weddings, and travel. Compatible with all Nikon F-mount DSLRs. Note: the electromagnetic (E) aperture means full compatibility requires a relatively recent body; older film and digital Nikons (D200 and earlier) can use the lens but without aperture control.
