About this camera
The Fujifilm X100VI is a premium fixed-lens APS-C compact, released in 2024. It pairs a 40.2MP X-Trans CMOS 5 HR sensor and a fixed 23mm f/2 lens (35mm-equivalent field of view) with Fujifilm's signature hybrid optical/electronic viewfinder, and is the first camera in the X100 line to add in-body image stabilisation.

Works with
- Fixed 23mm f/2 lens - not interchangeable (the field of view is set)
- 49mm filter thread via the optional AR-X100 metal adapter ring
- WCL-X100 II wide conversion lens (approx 28mm equivalent) and TCL-X100 II tele conversion lens (approx 50mm equivalent)
- Weather resistance requires the AR-X100 adapter ring plus a protective filter
- Hot shoe for Fujifilm EF-series TTL flashguns, plus a small built-in flash
- NP-W126S battery with USB-C charging; single UHS-I SD card slot
Best for
Aimed at street, travel, documentary and everyday photographers who want a pocketable, discreet camera built around a single high-quality prime rather than an interchangeable-lens system. The fixed 23mm f/2 lens gives a natural 35mm-equivalent field of view that stays put unless you fit an optional conversion lens, so it rewards a deliberate, one-focal-length way of working. Note that full weather resistance is not standard - it requires the AR-X100 adapter ring plus a protective filter.
Frequently asked questions
Can I change the lens?
No. The X100VI has a fixed, built-in 23mm f/2 lens (35mm-equivalent) that cannot be removed. The optional WCL-X100 II and TCL-X100 II conversion lenses screw on to shift the field of view to roughly 28mm or 50mm equivalent, but the native lens itself is permanent.
Is it weather-sealed out of the box?
Not fully. The body is weather-resistant only once you add the AR-X100 adapter ring and a protective filter over the front element; without them the lens barrel is not sealed.
Does it have image stabilisation?
Yes. The X100VI adds 5-axis in-body image stabilisation rated at up to 6.0 stops - the first X100-series model to include IBIS, which helps with low-light stills and handheld video.
What filter size does it take?
49mm, fitted via the AR-X100 adapter ring. The same ring is what enables the camera's weather resistance when paired with a protective filter.
