The Canon RF 24-105mm f/4-7.1 IS STM is Canon's compact, affordable RF-mount standard zoom, released in 2020 as the kit lens for the EOS RP. Covers a useful 24-105mm range with image stabilisation and Canon's STM focus motor for smooth, near-silent autofocus.

Will it work on a Canon EF DSLR (5D, 6D, 7D)?
No. RF lenses cannot be mounted on EF DSLRs - the mount is physically different and there is no reverse adapter. This lens is RF mirrorless only.
Does this lens have image stabilisation?
Yes - up to 5 stops alone, or up to 7 stops combined with bodies that have IBIS (R5, R6, R6 II).
Why is the aperture so slow at the long end?
The f/4-7.1 aperture is unusual for a modern 24-105mm. It's a trade-off that keeps this lens notably smaller, lighter and more affordable than the RF 24-105mm f/4L IS - Canon's pro-grade RF standard zoom.
