Canon's original 18-55 EF-S kit lens - everyday walkabout focal range, very light, affordable. EF-S means APS-C only; cannot be mounted on full-frame Canon DSLRs. Non-IS variant predates Canon's stabilised kit zoom upgrade.

Will it work on a Canon full-frame DSLR like the 5D?
No. EF-S lenses cannot mount on EF full-frame bodies - the rear lens element protrudes too far into the mirror chamber.
Does this lens have image stabilisation?
No. Stabilised alternatives include the EF-S 18-55mm IS and IS II.
Will it work on Canon RF mirrorless bodies?
No. Canon EF-S lenses do not mount on RF mirrorless bodies. Consider an RF-S lens (for APS-C RF bodies) or a full-frame EF lens with the EF-EOS R adapter instead.
