The Canon EF 100mm f/2.8L IS USM Macro is Canon's L-series 1:1 macro prime, released in 2009. It was the first macro lens with Canon's Hybrid IS system, which corrects for both angular and shift camera movement — a meaningful advantage in close-up work where traditional IS falls short.
