Best for
A serious long-range thermal monocular - 640x480 sensor combined with 50mm long-focal lens gives exceptional detection range (2.3km) and identification capability at distance. Used for professional security, long-range hunting, wildlife research and specialist observation. The 50mm lens narrows the field of view significantly - best combined with a shorter-focal 'scanning' device for wider observation.
Frequently asked questions
Is a 50mm thermal lens hand-holdable?
Yes, with technique - thermal lenses don't have the same shake sensitivity as optical lenses because the magnification is lower. But for extended observation or maximum detail, tripod mounting helps.
Why buy from Bass & Bligh
Bought from a real shop, not a warehouse.
Dispatched on the Monday… great service

George P.Ordered a lens onlineA proper little treasure trove
3rd time I've been to this shop to treat myself to some new kit. Always very friendly and knowledgeable. Fairly priced too. I would highly recommend a visit if your nearby and looking for camera gear. I'd say if they don't have what your looking for, it's probably not possible to find anywhere. It's a proper little treasure trove.
