The Nikon D2X is Nikon's 2005 flagship professional APS-C DSLR - 12.4MP, 5 fps continuous shooting, weather-sealed magnesium body with integrated vertical grip. Along with the D2H/D2Hs, this was the pro camera of its era - used heavily by sports, wildlife and news photographers.

Is the D2X still useful today?
As a characterful pro-feel DSLR, yes - build is exceptional. As a working digital camera, it's limited by the 12MP CCD sensor's modest dynamic range and low ISO range compared to modern cameras. Best for collectors or as a characterful stills tool.
Will it autofocus on all my Nikon lenses?
Yes - the D2X has a built-in body AF motor, so both screw-drive AF/AF-D lenses and motor-integrated AF-S/AF-P lenses autofocus. Manual-focus AI/AI-S lenses will also meter.
