The details

At a glance: Fujifilm XF 60mm f/2.4 R Macro - 1:2 short-telephoto macro prime for X-mount APS-C, 90mm-equivalent.

About this lens

The Fujifilm XF 60mm f/2.4 R Macro is Fujifilm's dedicated short-telephoto macro prime for X-mount APS-C. 60mm on APS-C is a 90mm full-frame equivalent - a classic macro focal length, giving comfortable working distance for insects and flowers while staying useful for portraits. 1:2 close-focus reproduction.

Build & handling

Sensor coverage APS-C
Maximum magnification 1:2 (half life-size)
Autofocus Internal stepping motor
Image stabilisation No (relies on IBIS-equipped Fujifilm bodies)
Weather resistance No
Minimum focus distance 0.267m
Filter thread 39mm
Weight 215g
Construction Aspherical + ED glass, 9-blade aperture

Works with

  • Fujifilm X-mount mirrorless APS-C bodies (X-T5, X-T4, X-H2, X-H2S, X-S20, X-E4, X-Pro3, etc.)
  • Not designed for Fujifilm GFX medium format (different mount)

Best for

A dual-purpose short-telephoto - handles close-focus macro work up to 1:2 reproduction (not true 1:1) and works nicely for portraits thanks to the 90mm equivalent focal length and f/2.4 aperture. Compact and light for an APS-C macro. Notable omissions are weather sealing and 1:1 magnification - addressed by the newer XF 80mm f/2.8 Macro.

Frequently asked questions

Is it true 1:1 macro?

No - maximum magnification is 1:2 (half life-size). For true 1:1 macro on X-mount, the XF 80mm f/2.8 R LM OIS WR Macro is Fujifilm's dedicated 1:1 option.

Does this lens have image stabilisation?

No — this lens does not have image stabilisation.

  • A proper little treasure trove

3rd time I've been to this shop to treat myself to some new kit. Always very friendly and knowledgeable. Fairly priced too. I would highly recommend a visit if your nearby and looking for camera gear. I'd say if they don't have what your looking for, it's probably not possible to find anywhere. It's a proper little treasure trove.
