At a glance: Fujifilm X-T3 - 26.1MP weather-sealed APS-C mirrorless with classic dials, 425-point AF, 4K/60p video.

About this camera

The Fujifilm X-T3 is the 2018 generation of Fujifilm's classic dial-driven APS-C mirrorless body, built around a 26.1MP back-side-illuminated X-Trans CMOS 4 sensor. It was the model that brought phase-detect autofocus across the whole frame and 4K/60p 10-bit video to the X series, and its traditional shutter-speed and ISO dials remain the defining X-T handling experience.

Best for

A strong all-round enthusiast body and one of the best-value routes into the X system used - the sensor is the same generation as the X-T30 and X-Pro3, the autofocus is competent for most subjects, and the video specification still holds up. The main thing to know before buying is that it has no in-body stabilisation, so pair it with OIS lenses if you shoot handheld in low light or handheld video.

Frequently asked questions

Does the X-T3 have in-body stabilisation?

No. IBIS arrived on the X-T line with the X-T4. On the X-T3, stabilisation comes from OIS lenses such as the XF 16-80mm f/4 or XF 18-55mm. For static subjects in good light this rarely matters; for handheld video or dim interiors it does.

How does it compare to the X-T4?

The X-T4 adds in-body stabilisation, a larger battery and a fully articulating screen. The X-T3 shares the same sensor and processor, so image quality is essentially identical - which makes it excellent value used.
