The details

Daylight-balanced colour film with soft tones, rich skin detail, and flexible exposure for creative control.
CineStill 400Dynamic 135 Film – 36 Exp, ISO 400 is a versatile, daylight-balanced colour negative film designed to deliver natural saturation, soft tones, and beautifully warm skin detail. With a base ISO of 400 and a wide exposure latitude (EI 200–800 without push), it's ideal for everything from sunlit portraits to studio setups and indoor scenes.
Crafted specifically for still photography, 400D combines fine grain and cinematic colour with the flexibility to push up to 3 stops, giving you creative freedom in virtually any lighting condition. Whether you're shooting handheld in mixed light or dialling in exposure for artistic effect, this film adapts effortlessly.
Safe for standard C-41 processing at labs or with a Cs41 kit at home, it also features a process-surviving anti-static lubricant coating, making it perfect for both manual and automatic cameras. Expect clean scans, smooth tonal transitions, and a subtle halation effect in overexposed highlights for that signature CineStill glow.
Born from the Film Maker Campaign and backed by a passionate community, CineStill 400D continues the brand's tradition of cinematic emulsions made for expressive still photography.

  • A proper little treasure trove

3rd time I've been to this shop to treat myself to some new kit. Always very friendly and knowledgeable. Fairly priced too. I would highly recommend a visit if your nearby and looking for camera gear. I'd say if they don't have what your looking for, it's probably not possible to find anywhere. It's a proper little treasure trove.
