About this lens
The Sony E 16mm f/2.8 is one of the original Sony E-mount APS-C primes - a compact pancake-style wide-angle prime for Sony's NEX and Alpha APS-C mirrorless cameras. At 16mm on APS-C it gives a 24mm full-frame equivalent - classic wide-angle for landscape, architecture and street photography.

A small, light pancake-style prime from Sony's original NEX lineup. At 70g it's barely noticeable on a camera body - useful for a truly compact travel/street setup. Optical performance is adequate rather than outstanding. Of interest: accepts screw-on conversion lenses (ultra-wide and fisheye) for extended creative options.
