At a glance: Fujifilm's 2020 flagship APS-C hybrid - 26MP X-Trans IV, the first X-T body with IBIS and a vari-angle screen.

About this camera

The Fujifilm X-T4 is Fujifilm's 2020 flagship APS-C mirrorless body and the first X-T camera to combine 5-axis in-body stabilisation with a fully articulating (vari-angle) touchscreen. It pairs a 26.1MP X-Trans CMOS 4 sensor with a fast 15 fps mechanical shutter and 10-bit DCI 4K/60p video, making it a genuinely capable stills-and-video hybrid.

Works with

  • All Fujifilm X-mount lenses (XF and XC series)
  • Optional VG-XT4 vertical battery grip
  • NP-W235 lithium-ion battery (charges in-camera via USB-C)
  • Two UHS-II SD card slots (SD/SDHC/SDXC)
  • 10-bit 4:2:2 output and F-Log recording via HDMI to an external recorder

Best for

Aimed at the hybrid stills-and-video enthusiast, the X-T4 suits anyone who wants one weather-sealed body for both disciplines - travel, documentary, events and vlogging. The IBIS and vari-angle screen make handheld video and awkward-angle shooting far easier than on the X-T3, while 15 fps burst and reliable phase-detection AF cover action and wildlife. Its magnesium-alloy shell is dust and moisture resistant and rated to work down to -10C. It takes the larger NP-W235 battery (about 500 shots CIPA) and has twin UHS-II SD card slots.

Frequently asked questions

Does the X-T4 have in-body stabilisation?

Yes. It has 5-axis IBIS rated up to 6.5 stops - it was the first X-T-series body to include in-body stabilisation.

How is the X-T4 different from the X-T3?

The X-T4 adds 5-axis IBIS, a fully articulating (vari-angle) screen, a faster 15 fps mechanical shutter and the larger NP-W235 battery. It shares the same 26MP X-Trans CMOS 4 sensor and processor as the X-T3.

Can it record 4K/60p?

Yes. It records DCI 4K and 4K up to 60p, in 10-bit internally (4:2:0) and up to 400 Mbps, with F-Log for grading.

Is the screen fully articulating?

Yes. Unlike the X-T3's tilt-only screen, the X-T4 has a side-hinged vari-angle touchscreen that flips out and rotates to face forward for video and vlogging.
