Best for

The X-T1 suits enthusiasts and travel, documentary and landscape photographers who want traditional dial-led handling in a compact, weather-sealed body. Its APS-C sensor applies a 1.5x crop factor, so a 50mm lens frames like a 75mm equivalent. Being candid, there is no in-body image stabilisation, so shake reduction relies on stabilised (OIS) lenses, and video tops out at 1080p Full HD with no 4K option - fine for stills-first shooters but a limitation for videographers.

Frequently asked questions

Does the Fujifilm X-T1 have in-body image stabilisation?

No. The X-T1 has no IBIS, so stabilisation comes from OIS-equipped X-mount lenses.

Can the X-T1 record 4K video?

No. Video maxes out at 1080p Full HD at up to 60fps; there is no 4K mode.

Is the X-T1 weather-sealed?

Yes. It has a magnesium alloy body with dust- and water-resistant sealing and is freezeproof down to -10C.

What sensor does the X-T1 use?

A 16.3MP APS-C X-Trans CMOS II sensor, paired with Fujifilm's EXR Processor II.
