The details
At a glance: Classic Canon 50mm f/1.4 fast normal prime - micro USM, metal mount, full-frame EF.
About this lens
The Canon EF 50mm f/1.4 USM is a classic fast normal prime, released in 1993 and in production for three decades. A popular step up from the 50mm f/1.8, it adds ring USM autofocus, a metal mount, and improved optics - a standard choice for portraits, events, and low-light general photography.

- Canon EF-mount APS-C DSLRs (acts as ~80mm short portrait)
- Canon RF mirrorless via EF-EOS R adapter
Best for
A lightweight, fast normal prime that earns its place in many Canon photographers' kits. Useful for low-light, environmental portraits, and as a walk-around on full-frame, or a short portrait lens (80mm equivalent) on APS-C. Works on all Canon EF-mount bodies and on RF mirrorless via adapter.
Frequently asked questions
Will it work on Canon RF mirrorless bodies?
Yes, via the Canon EF-EOS R adapter. Autofocus and IS are preserved, and the lens functions normally on R, R5, R6, R7, R8, R50 and other RF bodies.
Why buy from Bass & Bligh
Bought from a real shop, not a warehouse.
Dispatched on the Monday… great service

George P.Ordered a lens onlineA proper little treasure trove
3rd time I've been to this shop to treat myself to some new kit. Always very friendly and knowledgeable. Fairly priced too. I would highly recommend a visit if your nearby and looking for camera gear. I'd say if they don't have what your looking for, it's probably not possible to find anywhere. It's a proper little treasure trove.
Philip B.Third visit to the shopBrilliant advice with awesome customer service
