The details
At a glance: Pentax DA 35mm f/2.4 AL - compact, light standard prime for K-mount APS-C DSLRs.
About this lens
The Pentax SMC DA 35mm f/2.4 AL is Pentax's affordable compact prime for APS-C K-mount DSLRs. At 35mm on APS-C it acts like a 52mm standard prime - roughly the 'normal lens' perspective on full-frame. Very light, simple, and a popular first prime for Pentax users moving beyond kit zooms.

Works with
- Pentax K-mount APS-C DSLRs - all bodies
- Pentax K-mount full-frame DSLRs (K-1, K-1 II) - will work in APS-C crop mode
- Image stabilisation handled by in-body Shake Reduction
Best for
A small, light, characterful standard prime for Pentax APS-C - 52mm equivalent, roughly the natural 'field of view matches the human eye' focal length on full-frame. The f/2.4 aperture gives decent subject separation and usable low-light capability. Screw-drive AF works on every Pentax K-mount DSLR.
Frequently asked questions
Does this lens have image stabilisation?
Not in the lens itself. Pentax DSLR bodies have in-body Shake Reduction (SR), which stabilises all lenses you mount, including this one.
Why buy from Bass & Bligh
Bought from a real shop, not a warehouse.
Dispatched on the Monday… great service
Ordered a Panasonic four thirds lens dispatched on the Monday after purchase and delivered on the following Tuesday great service. Tried on the camera and initial thoughts are wow pin sharp and clear photos. Thank you
George P.Ordered a lens onlineA proper little treasure trove
3rd time I've been to this shop to treat myself to some new kit. Always very friendly and knowledgeable. Fairly priced too. I would highly recommend a visit if your nearby and looking for camera gear. I'd say if they don't have what your looking for, it's probably not possible to find anywhere. It's a proper little treasure trove.
Philip B.Third visit to the shopBrilliant advice with awesome customer service
