The F1.2 maximum aperture makes this 85mm by far the brightest lens in existing full frame DSLR lenses. It gathers light like no other and helps secure the fastest possible shutter speed or de-focus everything but the subject. There are ten optical elements in seven groups, incorporating one aspherical lens and two high refractive lenses. The aspherical lens minimises aberration and unnecessary light dispersion and two high refractive lenses effectively adjust the path of light and deliver maximum amount to the sensor for a clear and vibrant image. This optimal performance creates astounding image quality from the centre to corner of the image. Also, the minimised aberrations enhance clarity, creating an even more impressive image than your eyes can actually see. An aluminium-alloy metal body has been adopted for maximum durability. With a sleek, yet unprecedented design with flowing curves, this signature line-up is a one-of-a-kind lens. Handling and ergonomics have been optimised with the lens having a maximum diameter of 95mm.
